Welcome to the world of the Missibabas!
Missibaba is a team of eight women based in Woodstock, Cape Town, all working away merrily to bring you beautiful handcrafted leather pieces. Each piece is unique with love and care poured into it in abundance. Thank you for stepping into our world!
About our leather:
Most of our leather is sourced locally in Cape Town (A grade leather from South Africa and Namibia) with special bits 'n pieces sourced in Argentina, India and England. We have some of our leather locally printed up with our designs as well as printing our own fabrics for linings. We love experimenting with different surface detail techniques for example hand painting on leather, hand- cut cutwork and hand drawn stitching details and patterns.
Delivery
Shipping in South Africa:

We offer free delivery within South Africa for purchases over R1000
All orders valued less than R1000 - R150 postage cost and will be delivered via our courier
All mini items (small jewellery pieces, earrings) - R30 postage and sent via the South African post office

We use Dawn Wing Couriers for deliveries in South Africa. R150 delivery cost will be charged to orders under R1000. Your order will be dispatched within two working days of receipt of payment (excluding orders placed during the weekend or public holidays) and delivery time is one to two days.
We will email you the tracking number of your parcel as soon as it has been dispatched which you will be able to track at www.dawnwing.co.za or by calling 0860 223 224. Deliveries are typically made between 8am and 6pm Mondays to Fridays.
Mini items (small jewellery pieces, earrings, fabric pouches) will be sent via the South African post office. Please allow 2-3 working days for delivery depending on the delivery destination. Please note that this service does not include tracking.

Orders are dispatched between three to five working days of receipt of payment. Everything is shipped from Cape Town, South Africa.
We make use of two services through the South African Post Office to send orders:
Small items (jewellery, wallets, cha ching bags, belts and shoppers) are sent via registered airmail and includes a tracking number. This service takes approximately two to three weeks and will be delivered to your local post office.
EMS (Expedited Mail Service) is used to send all other items. This service includes insurance and a tracking number and delivery is approximately one to two weeks.
We will email you the shipping details as soon as your parcel has been dispatched which you will be able to track at your local post office. Please note that you will be responsible for any duties and customs charges that may be incurred.
Refunds And Exchanges
If you are not happy with your purchase, you can return it to us. If it is still in the condition we sent it to you we will refund you on your purchase plus initial shipping costs. However, you will have to cove the return shipping costs.
Please contact us to get our returning address before sending back the item/s. International returns will need to be sent back with registered mail and South African returns can be sent back with Dawn Wing Couriers.
*Note: Unfortunately we do not accept refunds or exchanges on custom orders.

Payment
Missibaba.com accepts various payment methods. South African customers have the option to pay via EFT (bank wire), do a credit card payment via Payfast (Mastercard and Visa accepted) or pay via cash or credit card when collecting from the Missibaba studio.

International customers are advised to pay via Paypal. Payments can easily and safely be made on Paypal using all major credit cards and can be paid in US Dollars, British Pounds or Euros.

The prices shown on our website include VAT at 14% when purchasing from within South Africa and exclude VAT when purchasing from outside the Republic. The amount you pay will be the price indicated plus any delivery charges. Please note that the recipient of any products shipped outside South Africa may have to pay import duty or other taxes, fees and charges applied by customs or other authorities in the country of receipt. If you are unsure about whether these charges might apply to your order, you should contact your local tax or customs authorities.
*Further information for overseas customers
The actual price charged to overseas customers will be subject to the exchange rate applied by the customer's credit or debit card company. Customers outside South Africa will also be liable for any customs/import duty, quotas, permits, product restrictions and other local requirements. These charges must be paid by the recipient of the parcel. Customs policies vary widely from country to country, therefore you are advised to check the latest applicable local requirements in your country before placing an order.
Privacy Policy
We respect your concerns about Privacy and follow strict procedures to protect your personal information. Most importantly, we will not sell, trade or give out the information we collect from you without your express permission.
By visiting our Site, submitting information, using our services, and/or purchasing any products on our Website, you acknowledge that you accept the practices and policies outlined in the then current Privacy Policy and our Terms and Conditions. You should review this Policy every time you use the Website to satisfy yourself that you are happy with it.
Missibaba requires that you create an account and provide us with some personal information to enable us to process your orders, you to make payments and us to deliver your items to an address of your choice. We ask for your name, telephone number, home address, email address and age. We may also use this information to help us develop and improve our website and provide you with a more personalised shopping experience.
In order for us to deliver your order, we will supply Dawn Wing couriers with your name, address and contact number. This is the only third party that we will give your details to.
For our fashion news email we only require your email address. Apart from our fashion news email, we may also email you information about products, services and details of promotions and special offers from Missibaba. If you do not wish to be contacted for these purposes, you can click on 'unsubscribe' found at the bottom of our newsletters. You may also unsubscribe by emailing ann@missibaba.com.
We will only collect personally identifiable information to the extent deemed reasonably necessary to serve you in view of our legitimate business purposes as set out above, and we will use our best endeavours to maintain appropriate safeguards to ensure the security, integrity and privacy of the information you have provided us with.
For financial transactions Missibaba.com uses the industry standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol, which encrypts your information as it is transmitted over the internet. This encryption scrambles details such as credit card numbers, billing details and delivery addresses so that other computers are unable to decipher the information, ensuring your privacy and security.
